Mission:	The mission of the UCLA Department of Family Medicine is: to educate medical students, residents, and practicing physicians, to provide excellent health care in a number of diverse clinical settings, and to perform research in health services, education, and clinical medicine relevant to Urban Family Medicine.
Description:	In response to the growing disparities in health care that exist among immigrant families and minority populations in large urban centers such as Los Angeles, the UCLA Department of Family Medicine seeks a leadership role in the development of family medicine education and comprehensive community based primary care services that meet the needs of the community and nation.
